David knows the film industry - he has the scars to prove it. He knows both the hills and the valleys of the process.  He is a writer and director with a number of film and television projects in development (see at BlueRun Media).   He has taken several film projects from concept to financing, and has worked for or on behalf of a host of producers and studios, including Dreamworks and Lionsgate.

David has written a novel and many screenplays, having sold or optioned most of them.  He knows the agency system, both in NY and LA, and has endured the agonies of pitch rooms mixed with the highs of sales and green lights.  He has authored many articles on filmmaking, film finance, transmedia and crowdfunding. His work includes a film finance column in Moviemaker Magazine and a column for Digital Book World on transmedia publishing and production.  His literary agent is the incomparable Jane Dystel, at Dystel & Goderich in New York.

  David has been a professional photo-artist for 20 years, having shown in galleries from New York to LA.

He has 25 years of finance experience as an attorney and CPA, with 15 of those years focused in the entertainment industry - specifically film production.  As such he has

helped raise over $100M in financing.

David is the Founder and Executive Director of the largest / oldest crowdfunding trade association in the United States, the National Crowdfunding Association.  Within the NLCFA, David leads teams and members in every state in the development of a robust crowdfunding marketplace, and specific work with the SEC regarding the upcoming Equity Crowdfunding rules. He also Chairs the Board of Governors of the World Crowdfund Federation, the only federation of crowdfunding associations in the world, representing 13 countries across five continents.
